Yesterday in the Dáil, during statements on football, I highlighted the importance of football clubs in bringing together our community and how funding through grants, such as sports capital, have been able to transform facilities in Dublin 9 and 11. I also highlighted the difficulties facing some local clubs around the future of the DDSL and NDSL.

At a recent meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), I discussed the resourcing of the NCSE and special education provision as there are children awaiting promised class places in Dublin 9 and 11. This dicsussion was with officials from the Department of Education.
